Day 01 Negombo

Upon arrival at Colombo airport, you will be met with, and transferred to your hotel in Negombo. Your travel assistant will be with you from the time you enter Sri Lanka to the time you leave. Negombo was once heralded as the island's premier spice town. It then progressively evolved into the biggest fishing port, a centre of Roman Catholicism, and one of the original tourist resorts, thus crowning it the Little Rome of Sri Lanka. This town has a quaint atmosphere, with bustling little streets, delightful canals, interesting creeks, an extensive lagoon and interesting architecture all over the place. Enjoy watching the old world fishing crafts like the outrigger canoes and the catamarans that bring a variety of marine fishes such as seer, skipjack, pomfret and amber-jack. In the lagoon, lobsters and prawns are caught and served as delicacies in the restaurants.

In addition, the Negombo Fish Market is a must-visit, apart from the beach of course.

Day 03 Kandy

Enjoy an energizing breakfast to get your day started. As per the itinerary, your day tour would be a visit to Kandy, the royal city of Sri Lanka. Stop by Dambulla on your way to explore the cave temples - a vast isolated rock outcrop that towers about 600ft above sea level. It stands bare and black exposed to the scorching sun, and very little of it sheltered by woodland. This is one of the oldest Buddhist shrines in Sri Lanka and comprises five caves that have been converted into shrine rooms. Within these rooms is a collection of 150 statues of Buddha, and several other deities.

Kandy, which is located in the central hills, is just 115 KM away from Colombo. On entering Kandy, you will experience a genuine difference in this golden city. The city is very famous for Sri DaladaMaligawa where the remains of the tooth relic of Lord Buddha are preserved. While in Kandy, you will get to visit The Temple of Tooth Relic (Sri DaladaMaligawa); the old royal palace compound; Lankatilake and Gadaladeniya temples; Embekke Temple; The Royal Botanical Gardens, and also check out the local art and craft.

Well-kept lawns with hedges, an Anglican church, a famous golf course, and beautiful parks give the place an air of nostalgia. Nuwara Eliya offers many activities including visits to tea plantations, golfing, and horse riding, boating, hiking and of course exploring the beauty of the landscaped gardens, waterfalls and plateaus.
